Sohonet, a global leader in connectivity and software solutions for the media and entertainment industry, has announced the launch of its new rental house and reseller program. This initiative is designed to make it easier for film and TV post teams to obtain Sohonet’s award-winning real-time review product, ClearView Flex at the same time they are renting editing systems and creative studio space or remote services when they begin the post-production process.
“Our new Partner Program represents a pivotal opportunity for rental houses and resellers to elevate their service offerings and enhance client satisfaction,” said Dennis Rose, Sohonet’s chief revenue officer.
“COVID and the emergence of hybrid working changed the landscape for rental houses that historically rented creative space and editing systems to post teams at work in their facilities. However, following COVID, these teams embraced remote working like the rest of the industry. In response, many rental houses began to deliver remote services to them, often centralizing editing systems in data center racks or private cloud systems and then delivering the editing desktops to their clients working remotely. Sohonet’s ClearView Flex remote collaboration products are a natural fit for this type of remote work set-up”, adds Rose.
A number of leading rental houses have seen the benefits of the program, leveraging Sohonet’s solutions to enhance their service offerings and adapt to the evolving post-production landscape. “Being part of Sohonet’s Rental House Program has allowed us to quickly adapt to changing production needs, and provided greater flexibility for our clients to access industry-trusted tools like ClearView,” says Ahmed Barbary, Director of Engineering at Picture Shop and Formosa. “In a fast-paced industry, especially in light of recent industry turmoil and pressure on costs, these capabilities have made a significant difference in how we service our clients and meet their evolving needs.”
Denine James-Nio, Hula Media Services CEO added "Our talented clients work in a challenging and ever-evolving industry, and delivering top-tier service to them is the very heart of who we are. Sohonet's Rental House Program enables us to do exactly that, equipping our clients with industry-leading tools like ClearView Flex. In a constantly shifting business, ensuring our clients have flexibility, cost control, and straightforward access to the best technology is paramount. Sohonet’s Rental House Program empowers us to meet those needs and gives our clients a decisive edge in a demanding environment."
Doug Cavaliere, President of QSR Systems commented, “Our latest SohoNet deployment for Beast Games played a pivotal role in facilitating seamless user experiences and stakeholder satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the successful launch of their groundbreaking show on Amazon Prime Video. By leveraging our advanced infrastructure and customized solutions, we were able to provide a scalable, reliable, and high-performance platform that met the demanding requirements of this record-breaking production."
